First semester
The first semester focus area was Residential Building, covering all aspects relating to situating the house on a plot, specifying and arranging rooms, selecting materials, selecting building services, costing, time management etc.
Various creative exercises helped to get familiar with the basis of roles in the industry, modeling, technical drawing, planning and time management.
Detail drawings, isometrics, floor plans, service plans were all drawn by hand during the semester.
We presented our work as a team in an oral evaluation, showcasing our exercises on 15 whiteboards in total.
